Demo Recorder Pro is an Android application operated by LLC Kaway. The app is designed to help users record video demonstrations using the front camera, screen recording, microphone audio, teleprompter, virtual backgrounds, markers, and related recording tools.
The app is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not sell your personal data. We do not intentionally upload your recorded videos, audio, screen recordings, camera content, or teleprompter text to our servers unless a future feature clearly asks for your permission.
The current version of the app does not contain advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, account features, or cloud upload features.
2. Information the App Accesses or Processes
2.1 Camera
The app uses your device camera to show front camera preview, record front camera video, show a camera bubble during screen recording, and apply optional virtual backgrounds. Camera frames may include your face, body, surroundings, and other visual information visible to the camera.
Camera frames used for recording and virtual backgrounds are intended to be processed locally on your device. The app does not intentionally upload your camera recordings or camera frames to our servers.
2.2 Microphone
The app uses your microphone to record audio during video demonstrations. If you turn the microphone off during recording, the app may write silent audio frames to maintain audio/video synchronization.
The app does not intentionally upload your microphone recordings to our servers.
2.3 Screen Recording
When you choose screen recording mode, the app uses Android MediaProjection permission to capture your screen. Screen recordings may include anything visible on your device screen, including other apps, websites, messages, notifications, documents, or personal information.
The app does not intentionally upload your screen recordings to our servers.
2.4 Files Created by the App
The app may create and store locally on your device:
- MP4 video files;
- recording metadata;
- sync test diagnostic files;
- marker information;
- local recording settings.
Files are typically saved in Movies/DemoRecorder.
2.5 App Preferences
The app may store local preferences such as:
- selected language;
- selected video quality profile;
- selected virtual background;
- teleprompter text and speed;
- whether the camera bubble is enabled;
- whether clean screen mode is enabled;
- whether first-use hints have been shown;
- whether you accepted this Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Information
We use information accessed or processed by the app to provide the app's features, including:
- recording camera video;
- recording screen content;
- recording microphone audio;
- creating a single MP4 file;
- showing camera preview;
- applying virtual backgrounds;
- showing teleprompter text;
- adding recording markers;
- running sync tests and diagnostics;
- saving your preferences.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your videos, audio, screen recordings, camera frames, or teleprompter text with third parties unless:
- you choose to share exported files yourself;
- sharing is required by law;
- a future feature clearly asks for your permission before uploading or sharing data.
5. Third-Party Services
The app may use third-party libraries to provide technical functionality.
For example, the app may use on-device machine learning technology for virtual background or selfie segmentation. These features are intended to process camera frames locally on the device.
The current version of the app does not use advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.
If a future version uses cloud processing, advertisements, analytics, accounts, remote uploads, or additional third-party services, we will update this Privacy Policy and request appropriate consent where required.
6. Storage and Retention
Recorded videos and related files remain on your device until you delete them. The app does not automatically delete your recordings unless you choose to delete them or your device storage system removes them.
Local settings remain on your device until you change them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect data processed by the app. However, you are responsible for keeping your device secure and controlling access to your recorded files.
Because screen recordings may capture sensitive information, please review your screen before and during recording.
8. Permissions
The app may request the following Android permissions:
- Camera: used to record front camera video and show camera preview.
- Microphone: used to record audio during video demonstrations.
- Screen Recording / MediaProjection: used to record your device screen after you approve the Android system screen capture prompt.
- Notifications: used to show the required foreground service notification while recording.
- Overlay / Display Over Other Apps: used to show recording controls, sidebar, and camera bubble while screen recording.
- Foreground Service Permissions: used to keep recording active while the app records camera, microphone, or screen content.
9. Important Screen Recording Notice
When screen recording is enabled, the app may capture any visible content on your screen. This may include personal messages, passwords if visible, account information, emails, documents, notifications, websites, and other apps.
The app cannot determine whether screen content is sensitive. You are responsible for choosing what appears on your screen while recording.
10. Children's Privacy
Demo Recorder Pro is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
11. International Users
If you use the app outside your country of residence, your recordings and local settings remain primarily on your device. If future versions introduce cloud services, analytics, advertising, account features, or remote uploads, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional information about international data transfers where required.
12. Your Choices
You can:
- deny camera permission;
- deny microphone permission;
- deny notification permission;
- deny overlay permission;
- choose not to start screen recording;
- delete recorded videos from your device;
- clear app data in Android settings;
- uninstall the app.
Some features may not work without the required permissions.
13. Data Deletion
Because recordings and local settings are stored locally on your device, you can delete them by:
- deleting video files from
Movies/DemoRecorder; - clearing app data in Android settings;
- uninstalling the app.
If you contact us about privacy or data deletion, please note that we may not have access to files stored only on your device.
